Hey hey so sorry I'm really bad at answering questions for two reasons, one
I forget haha and two I've got so much on my mind it makes it easier to
forget.... so I'll try my best. I'm glad meg had a good time at HC it was a lot
of fun i remember ya look great Megan!! nice shoe tan too hahahaha but believe
me being here I've got a dress collar tan line and my legs which used to be the
most tan are now white...haha. is that Jenna hitting????? haha she's got the
height but needs to get the right positioning for such hits haha her legs are
like wrapped in the net with here arms in the back row haha. I'm glad to see y'all
are doin good. sorry but there's really no time to take many pictures are of so
far.( ill explain later) but the really good news for you is that the Mission
secretary takes a zillion pictures and gives us CDs of us before we leave in 2.you didn't mention Kk? hows she
doin? Gosh Logan's almost home.... that's crazy! but I bet the wards excited. I'm
glad to see y'all are doing good though and hopefully enjoying life without
getting to stressed. I'm definitely not happy with pops now....... soooo many
members have showed me their gun collections and i just die a little inside
haha.
So this week.....
to sum up, the days were extremely long and the week went by fast as
lightning. I'm just waiting for the days to pick up speed because I'm running
out of steam midweek and close to dragging myself to Sunday haha. But its good
I'm not complaining. Got my first baptism Sunday the23rd, Name was Giovaunni De
La Hos. hes 9 and his mom was baptized about 2 months ago. the spirit that night
was unbelievable and I just kept smiling and thinking to myself this is what
missionary work is. this is the fruits of my labors and It is the happiest I've
been for myself and more so for Gio. Its kinda weird how Proud and how much I
care about him and the entire ward and investigators. but at the same time it
just feels right. I love everyone I've been in contact with. Even when street
contacting and people flat out insult me I don't take it personal, Its nothing
against me and they will have to answer for it at the judgement seat. we started
teaching a girl named Sierra, all her friends are LDS and its a shocker she's
not. She's come to church for a yearish and already wants to be baptized but her
parents wont let her til she's 18 which is October so that'll be good. Isebell
who is this sweet ol lady is like the perfect Mormon but wont be baptized
because she already was in the catholic faith and her favorite and dearest Uncle
did it. so she is adamant she wont be baptized but believes everything about our
faith.....well see about that baptism... haha. we have a few progressing
investigators (PI) that basically fell off the face of the Earth, one has been
taking Jehovah Witness lessons and the other just won't quit smoking. Ah so this
recent convert (RC) has a daughter that will hopefully be getting baptized on
the 20th looks, sounds, and reminds me of Kayla, its absolutely crazy!! when I
first saw her i was like "whoa". I'm slowing coming along in the lessons. my
trainer is something else though.... He's very ummm interesting. he wont really let me do
anything and when I do he questions and redoes it..... so that's not an insult
right? well my cursed personality does not do well with a companion that doesn't
trust me.... with anything haha but the best part is he started making fun of my
way of teaching a lesson during the lesson.... to the mother...... and then Gio
totally lost focus and for the first time on my mission I thought about walking
out the door. I was so erked and because of that I lost the spirit and its been
hard to get it back because of the contention I pray and pray to relieve it. plus
just to add fuel to the fire. we had a mission wide service project to I got to
spend some time with all my guys from the MTC who all have fantastic companions
as well as the new Spanish elder in Hollister and his trainer. and of course I'm
the lucky one. they talk all about the hard work there doing but also the fun
and memories they create. my companions got the work part down and I commend him
on that but I crack a little joke or laugh at another elders joke or just enjoy
the bike ride or car ride and he'll have none of it.... So I guess that stick
that is under pressure will stay under pressure all this transfer and the next
before it can be relieved from the stress. I'm trying to love him. I really am
and I know I can learn infinite amounts of points and skills from him but gosh
its difficult especially when he throws me under the bus like that.... but sorry
bad rant I need to just grow up and love. I'm trying, trust me and its getting
better but not where it should be. hopefully if it continues at least when I go
to the temple next week it should help put me at peace. on the good side I still
love Hollister! wish I had a car all week but halfs not to bad. found this CD
that is Gospel related music to Joseph Smith and Missionary work by the
Nashville Tribute and holy cow I love em both!! closest I can get to country
music out hear and one song just really digs deep in me and I love it so much.
music is such a spiritual and stress relieving thing. I enjoy it so much. So i
have come to appreciate mothers cooking.... haha I realized I cant cook much and
running on a small budget I cant really buy more than oatmeal and milk with some
bread and roast beef haha. speaking of food there's a lot of interesting foods
here and my body doesn't seem to want to adjust. so Tums are still my best
friends. I love my district there all a great group of missionaries very fun
loving and happy, Unlike my companion. but yeah. Mission President cam to the
Baptism last Sunday and I don't remember if I told you or not but I'm speaking
with the Bishop on the 14th about faith in sacrament meeting so that'll be
exciting. I love the ward so much! there all wonderful loving and friendly
people. Elders Quorum is the usual stereotype of course haha. but I love the ward.
and I really really love all the RC and PI they are so close to my heart as well
as you guys. I miss you all very very much and hope the best for each of you.
Remember how much God blesses each of us everyday. remember
coincidence is God's way of staying anonymous
but its so true.
P.S. crashed my bike again...
P.s.s. haven't sent back anything there's no time with my companion to take
care of any needs I really have. but the pants will last for a bit longer
hopefully. I become a good sewer and duck taper haha. hopefully I answered all
your Questions
Love you all!
