hey yal,

no tablets or anything but E. Cook from the 12 is coming on the 8th! that'll be cool! 

This week has been crazyyyyyyyyyyy in Moorpark ward which is like a branch its so small. But it is great! Not because of the ward or anything but because of the challenge it brings! I need to be stretched and divinely transferred here where the Lord knew I could stretch. Love it here! but man am i sore..... hahaha  The Lord gave us our 1st investigator in forever and he came to church already!! So awesome!! He's so perfect.... his names Javier. He's so cool. Love it so much here. Remembered there's a guy in Santa Clara ward that makes bikes and so I talked to him and he can hook me up with a devent single speed for about 150 bones. which is super cheap compared to what bikes usually go. plus since I know him I could probably knock it down a bit! So that's cool. I'm riding another elders bike now and I almost crashed about a thousand times haha his back brakes don't work and so E. Sonenstahl slammed on the brakes and I had to stop fast and my backs didn't work so I hit the fronts outta reaction and almost did a 360 hahahahaha man only on bikes haha so funny.

I'm so happy to be in a family ward and plus love being released from ZL.... life is so much easier. sooooo much easier but that is the Lord telling me to focus more on the area not missionaries like I did in Menlo. Man I still miss those missionaries... those are my brothers and sisters... they are amazing. I love them so much. President wrote me a letter and told me he was thankful for all I did in Menlo so I'm at peace with not having 4 transfers there. The Lord just needed me elsewhere. its good. I'm happy. so happy. even when people yell at us to get off there porch its good. I just eat it up! ahhhhh why is my mission ending! this sucks! 7 months......... 29 Sundays. Leange le Ulu!! 

This zone here is super broken... like no one does anything or really truly loves each other so hopefully me and Pekipaki will fix that. He came out with me. The zls have something up there chops. but that's OK, they'll get humbled quick.

Man I can't believe it.... I'm in my last area.............. this is the last place I'll know before I go home.... what?!? danger Will Robinson danger.... its crazy. I cant believe it.... time is just zipping by at the speed of light. its already February..... what???!?! Slow this train down why is it in full throttle.... man crazy...

You guys are awesome. I love you guys so much. haha I love getting random memories of all of us pop into my head and all. So awesome. I'm excited to come home but I love my mission. Its a weird thought. really weird feeling.

Man oh man mission life is one heck of a ride. haha wouldn't trade this experience for the life of me. couldn't buy it off me. its the best.ahhh man I'm so happy. you have no idea.. everything is working out just perfectly. Love my God.  He's the best. and trust him.  gosh life is so good. cant wait to see how the rest turns out.

hey yal.

 

Crazy week and just like you said I like it now and guess what.... I got transferred. I'm in Moorpark in Saratoga now and full bike and a DL sooo at some point I'll need some money to get a bike. We're currently walking because my comp Elder Sohnenstal got his stolen. crazy. I'm so stress free.... no worries other than turn this dead area around and break the ZLs who are full of total ridiculousness.... it'll be good. I'm happy and excited. Might be my last area...... scary!!! The zone's real broken and the missionaries are super not unified so we'll see what we can do. E. Peki Paki who came out with me is here so we'll get it whipped up. I'm excited. My comps 3 months into his mission and trained by e. Bills... a rock missionary I served with in Santa Clara. I'm pretty excited to just get down and work. I love being the underdog and blowing peoples caboose's....  no real teaching pool and not much support from the ward so we'll switch it around.....just like Santa Clara was. Oh I finally heard from Ketywan too! sooo good to hear from him and his broken English. Love that guy.

 

Had a BBQ yesterday for going away and I burnt the burgers.... dang it. Shoulda paid more attention to dad when he'd do it.

 

So happy to be back in a family ward. I miss kids so much, probably because I'm still one but yeah they are awesome!!

hey yal!,

So yeah, we knew Pres Watkins was leaving ages ago haha he got a call one day and it was the new president and the other guy was like "Hello I'm the president of the CSJM and Pres Watkins was like ummmmmm what? haha it was hilarious! but  yes know him and I get him for 1 transfer and then I go home. Would love to leave with President Watkins..... that man is just wow, unbelievable, the most humble and hilarious and loving man. jeez I'm going to die when he leaves....

So not rub it in or anything butttttttttt we drove to the library today with the windows down and the AC on hahaha its like mid 70s

This was a good week. Had exchanges with the assistants and had a decent time. But was way happy to be back where I belong in the Menlo Park Zone! Man I love the guys here if I could make a company I'd have every one of  em work for it cause they are just awesome!

E. Call moved back in with us and his companion so there's 4 of us now! Its a blast! The neighbors might not be the happiest cause we're loud but haven't heard much from em. Call fell asleep early last night and got attacked by a Sharpe. Those Sharpes can come outta no where!! haha

Something this past week just clicked with singles ward. I'm not sure what it was but man o man I love it. idk why either! Maybe I'm in the process of being humbled but man I love it and now that I say that I'll get transferred haha.

Transfers are the 21 or whenever next Tuesday is and yes I'm printing pictures off for journal signing then I'll send it.

Oh so funny story and yet super spiritual too...... so in EPA the other day..... murder capital of the country in 1992........ just to help set the mood haha. Sisters set up a lesson for us with a guy and so we called him and he wanted to meet at the McDonald's. We said sure. Got a time and went over. oh yeah that McDonald's had 6 people shot in it about 6 months ago. only McDonald's I know with bullet proof windows. Anyway, so we go cause we're servants of the Lord and of course he will protect his missionaries. So we're there and the guy doesn't show up. This other guy approaches us and keeps asking "why are you here?" in a really stern tone and keeps walkin towards us. Oh also I'm the only white guy for like a sq. mile. Told him we were missionaries and all that and he just kept askin the same question oh yeah and Fish is like almost crying right haha he just doesn't say a thing and tries to blend into the wallpaper lol. But this guy then started going off about how we worship Joseph Smith and such over Christ and so I was like no no no lol and it was so cool because I listened with the intent on understanding instead to bash and reply and the Spirit made his heart mush by the time he left..... it was so cool! How everything was taught and how the Spirit was present. He was like totally in agreance with us and he was like can I get that book? and so we got him a Book of Mormon and then he left. Few minutes later after Fish went to the bathroom haha, we left and saw he was chillin at the bus stop reading it! sooooo cool.... the Spirit can soften anyones heart that is willing to listen! Man loved that experience!!! soo good!!

Yeah that was really my week. Oh this morning, Hardy, Whaley and Call and son and I went up into the hills.... not mountains.... and had a blast bushwacking and climbing and all sorts of fun! I'm super sore but it was so nice to be outdoors again!!

Hey yal,

Sounds like an awesome week! Yeah that was my Christmas Present from Sis. Salima from Samoa... she's the coolest sister in the zone. She had all brothers and we just give each other the hardest time and its hilarious, absolutely hilarious. I love that ellai its bomb. My hope is I get released as ZL and go into the poly program. lol its a stretch but never know when the Lords in charge!

Oh so checked the transfers. Its actually the 5th of Aug.... lost 2 weeks somehow. idk. So one of those 2 dates. Can you believe that.... this year I won't be a full time missionary...... that's crazy....super crazy..

The wards back! so we finally have dinners too which is magnificent! Love food and especially free food! So awesome.

Made my resolutions this year... coast.... haha jk I ain't coastin but really working on "find when I teach and teach when I find". Funny experience.... the Lord wanted me to learn. We were talking to people up University Ave. and I was passin cards out and not really being received well and handed one to this girl at the corner, then went to cross the street and it randomly went red so I couldn't cross. Which was weird  and I looked at her and was like.... I should talk to her cause she was reading the card. And then I shook it off and then I was like no! I gotta talk to her so I did. Talked about God for a few minutes and boom she wants to learn more! Heck yes! Lord opened my eyes like He usually does. It was awesome! Score one for Israel.

We're doing a total overhaul of the area. Every former investigator, every less active, every person alive!  Its gonna be awesome!  I love it and the Lord will hopefully bless us with an investigator to teach!

I love the zone so much! They are just fantastic. If I could make a company and hire all of em, it would be saweet! They're the best and I'm gonna be super sad when I gotta leave.

Oh called SS and they said my card wasn't affected and I actually didn't use it at Target haha so I guess I used my MSF card. Lord works in mysterious ways!

yeah I'm stayin warm... 75`s for most the afternoon and when the sun goes down it gets a little chill.

Everyone is telling me I'm the next AP and I'm super not happy about it... I don't get what everyone sees that would make me an AP but apparently to them I'm a prime candidate.. no bueno! AP= no mish work. just office stuff..... I'm perfectly fine with being a ZL or even a regular missionary. Guess we'll see in 2 weeks.

hey yal!

It was great to see yal and see how good things were going! sorry I rustled your feathers Meg with sayin how tall the others are getting... my Bad. But it was good to get that letter package too ....the pictures were hilarious and I love that I have a guy on the front and back of my shirt hahahaha wear it with pride!! haha love it all.... thank you so much! Just a FYI.... I'm gonna get some shoes today. priced em out $90 at footlocker and $45 at Costco. think that's a pretty bomb deal.

Love the temple. I'm super jealous you get to go whenever you want! I have to wait for 6 months. man lucky lucky.

The ward's still dead. super hard. I came up with the perfect plan! I'll get released from ZL and go to the Poly elders and be a tripod with em and stay in Menlo til the end of my mission! Its perfect! I'm gonna give it to President hahaha

Oh yeah, got in a car wreck last Saturday. Old lady tried to merge into us, but my beloved Chevrolet didn't even get the clear coat scratched and a tiny little dent but that foreign Lexus had the bumper almost fell off! haha AMERICA! haha everyone's OK. That was my 1st worry was that she was OK. We followed her to make sure her car worked ok. she's good :) Fisher's 1st wreck.... he freaked out... it was hilarious!

Still tryin to keep positive but man I really want to be in a family ward soon.... its killer....... too much judging and mixed up priorities. Starting to get to me. but I'm not backin down!! The Gospel will go forth nobly, boldly, and triumphantly! until it has penetrated every ear. Still not there yet but we're workin on that!
