Hey yal,

 

Crazy stuff.... I look back at my farewell address and it was terrible lol I did not like it lol. But that's ok.... my homecoming will just make me look better haha more improvement. 

 

Kelsey's lucky goin to one of the coolest states and then to a great county for her mish... that's sweet, happy for her.

 

So this week was ridiculous.... everyone wanted us to help em move, so we were loadin trucks for a long time, worked a bit at the bishop's storehouse, soooo fun! and then went and saw lots of members and the usual missionary stuff.

 

Crazy story time......so last week was the last week of the transfer and on Thursday leadership calls are made and both me and Ketywan got one outta the blue!! It was crazy! didn't see it comin. I was so sad cause I didn't want to leave this area and Ketywan and all.... I was so nervous and couldn't sleep all night ... so at like 2 am, I figured I'd start packing. So I packed everything up and was ready to leave that mornin if I needed to. Then I fell asleep and got up like 2 hrs later I think, went to the training meeting for new leaders Friday morning and found out I'm a Zone Leader now! Then I was super nervous about where I was gonna go, so couldn't sleep Friday night either except no stuff to pack so I watched Mormon messages lol. Then Saturday came and we worked hard moving more people and taught some phenomenal lessons.  As we are leaving one apartment complex, the transfer text came (tells who's leavin) and my name wasn't on it! I was so happy.... I was hootin and hollarin. I just ran, I didn't know what to do haha I got around the bend and stopped and hollered some more. Then outta nowhere, Ketywan comes barrelin around the corner yellin and cheerin, then I noticed he wasn't stopping.... he like tackled me and we just kept cheerin haha.  We are sooo happy we were both stayin! It was hilarious probably got 911 called on us for the noise. So yeah Ketywan's now the DL and I'm ZL.

 

So there's a Spanish ZL now in El Camino and then me, so we'll have to meet alot and do exchanges alot to get everything taken care of. I'm so nervous. There are a million and a half better missionaries than me so idk why pres picked me. I just hope I don't offend anyone and can help em out the way they need. lotta responsibility is now on my shoulders.... I think it'll be good for me.

So I'll most likely be here for another 12 weeks at least. Ketywan goes home in 6 and then I'll have a new comp for 6 then I think I'll be dun here. But idk, just happy I'm Kety's last companion.

 

I can't wait to get home and join summer wildfire crews. That'll be so much fun and I'll be able to protect my state :)

oh and since my bday's comin up, I only want 1 thing..... a big flash drive. like 125GB if that's at all possible. If not, hey you guys are givin me the best gift by helpin keep me out here on my mission. Best gift yal have givin me. Thank you so much. I love ya all!

hey yal,

So yeah I heard about the fire Friday at a service place one of the people had a son in the springs and so he was tellin me about it. That put me in a huge worry..... worse than the one last year I heard.  Pretty crazy..... except he didn't tell me where it was so I figured it was in woodland park again so now I was like well my family survived a gas leak we'll see if they survive a forest fire now. Talk about stressin and havin zero communication... but then I asked a member to look it up, found it was black forest then was like now worried about Granny and the Drew's.... crazy stuff...... but I'm glad it's all gettin controlled. I sure would love to help fight one of those...... soon enough. Actually I'm now thinking if fire doesn't turn out, I'll try sheriff. We will see though.

Glad camp went good and trek will be a total blast! We're workin hard and I'm starting to get tired. man oh man. same area, same non progressing investigators and members not really doing their part. so it's tough but Kety and I sure have fun. WML still doesn't know my name but whatever. The trust has been built up with this ward and they love missionaries now. I feel my job is done..... get in, set up the area, then move on. So I feel it's about my time. we'll see what happens.

Sorry not much to write about this week. Still workin and tryin my best. transfers are next Tue. They are every 6 weeks. so I'll either leave next week or I'll be here in Santa Clara for 12 more weeks..................................... dunno if I'll survive that....

Chuck Smith is a boss...... my shoulder's alright......we moved 3 families and ones a hoarder of all sorts of table saw stuff and routers and bandsaws and you name it. Then of course, he holds all his tools in filing cabinets.... haha oh yeah and there in the basement. That really put a strain on my shoulder lol. Then at the end, he's like, I think I'll hire some help. haha wow, oh well got my work out for the day :) the mission nurse has me covered. not goin to a doc. not a chance :) lol

Echo Hawk was great super spiritual, really helped me develop my prayers and counsel with the Lord not talk at the Lord. Love the bible dictionary on prayer. It's fantastic. yal should read it.

hey yal.

Yeah, we both got over being sick then I had a stabbing pain in my shoulder and got 45 min of sleep Monday night. That was not fun...... up all night but at least I could read alot of scriptures! haha always a positive.

Have fun at camp!

This week was super hard...... everyone's leaving on vacation and others wanting us to help em move, so not much chance to teach. oh well. shoulders killin but it'll get better over time.

So this crazy member has us over for dinner alot and one night we decided to buy some untearable TP and switched out his for ours and we get a text in the morning sayin that was a good joke elders, I used it and I'll reroll it and get it back to ya. soo funny. We pull so many pranks theses days but they're good fun and help build unity of the members with us.

Hope life's good. enjoy everything.

 

Trying to live off better money systems. would be so much easier if I didn't eat so much food lol. I know ......I'll go on an air diet! haha just messin. Haven't bought new clothes or ties in 4-5 months so it's all goin straight to food lol.

haha Mom when you said you tossed your cookies all I could picture was the Sandlot when all the kids get chew and go on a spinnin ride and all let it go. hahahahahahahah gave me a good laugh thanks!

Happy bday Jenna.... man you are sooo stinkin old! Now you can go to dances... what! lol

Sounds like EFY life was a blast. It's cool..... a mission is like the same spiritual level as EFY but for a lot longer and way better. haha so just remember that girls! remember if you had fun, well that's all that matters.

Life's been alright here. Ketywan was sick the 1st half and then gave it to me. Just about lost my voice and can't sleep cause I've got so much congestion and coughing. Might be mild bronchitis? Who knows haha not fun but oh well the work must go on!

Dunno what's up, maybe just summer time but our dinner calendar is barren so were doing a big rethink to see if we did something somewhere that we weren't supposed to. Who knows what's up but looks like McDonald's dollar menu!! haha
 

So I've been here since Feb right? you think that'd be enough time to learn someone's name? especially if they always have a tag on right? Nope! my WML still doesn't know my name. I'm Elder kcilla or callack or who knows what. Really starting to erk me, but oh well. I think my time here is about done...... 3 more weeks til transfers and it's goin by so fast! Seems like I wake up, then it's 2-3, then it's dinner. then I'm sleeping or attempting to. It's crazy!!

So, the 4 elders bought Nerf guns and were going to have a war with the member's family that Lawrence Station lives with.... it'll be so fun as long as i don't cough up a lung! haha hope all is well with ya! Camp will come together. It always does. 7 seconds in, 11 seconds out. Calms ya right down :) yal do great and everybody will have a good time.

Hey yal

Wow the Drew's are moving?! un flippen cool! I just wrote him and was
wonderin if they moved.... I know they were talkin about it. tisk tisk.

Man everyone's growing up!! Meg a senior... Jen in HS and KK, the little
tike in middle school. No bueno! I hope she gets through it .....those were
the worst 3 yrs of me life lol.

I'm glad you guys are havin fun! I was thinkin back to EFY this past
week thinkin about yal and it was so fun to go through the memories. 
Lots of fun..... Jenna will be talkin it up for weeks!

haha yes the second I read soda pop, the picture popped into my head
haha crazy how good a memory I have lol.....just messin. Thanks for thinkin
about me.

haha Wyoming..... speakin of which..... an elder found a George Strait (ask meg
who he is she'll know) stetson! So now when we go work on the farm, I have a
stetson to go with hahahah so funny! I love Wyoming.  I would
love to live there or maybe Texas..... somewhere that still flies ole glory.

This week has been good. I'm hitting that point where everything meshes
together and idk what was this week or last or 2 ago. But hey, it's all
part of the same :) This ward is awesome though. I feel like I own it. 
I made it what it is and got to work and now am like the boss. lol I'm
not the boss, the Lord is the boss.  I'm just a servant giving
responsibility over but its a good feeling.

Love it out here. The past transfer has been the best in my mission.
Got a great district, a great zone, a great comp and now that Slade's
outta Lawrence Station and my MTC comp Workman is there, I've got great
elders as neighbors. Life is just fantastic! Only thing I'd ask for is
to drive a Chevy Silverado instead of a Malibu, but hey can't get
everything ;)

Love ya mom, Love ya Grandparents! Thanks so much for all the support
you give me! I love the pictures we have in front of the SLC temple.
I am so honored and privileged to be in our Lord's house with both of
you...... a treasured memory for sure!
